This program invites attorneys to broaden their pro bono practice by exploring a new and meaningful area of law. Participants will learn the fundamentals of asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases—critical forms of relief that protect immigrants fleeing persecution and provide a path to permanent residence for children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned. Attorneys interested in providing pro bono representation to immigrants may contact anna.taylor@akijp.org.
