As of January 1, 2021, there are substantial changes to the requirements for Alaska Notaries Public. If you or anyone in your office plans to provide document notarizations, this applies to you. The presentation will outline the new requirements for notarization in Alaska, suggest best practices, and provide guidelines and sample materials for legal practitioners and staff.
Speaker Bio:
Chelsea Ray Riekkola joined Foley & Pearson, P.C. in 2014, where she is now a Shareholder. Prior to joining F&P, Chelsea clerked for the Honorable Patrick McKay of the Anchorage Superior Court. She is also involved in a number of community organizations, including the Anchorage Bar Association, where she previously served as President of the Young Lawyers Section, the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers, where she is a past Treasurer, the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Alaska Bar Association, where she currently serves as Co-Chair of the Executive Committee, and the Anchorage Library Foundation, of which she is a current Trustee. Chelsea is also a member of the Anchorage Estate Planning Council, WealthCounsel, and the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
