Rachel Witty


Rachel Witty is a Chief Assistant Attorney General for the Labor and State Affairs Section at the Department of Law. Rachel graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1997 and started her legal practice as an AmeriCorps attorney with Legal Services of the U.S. Virgin Islands. She later worked for private law firms in the Virgin Islands, Chicago, and Anchorage on matters ranging from insurance defense, employment, civil rights, and worker’s compensation. She joined the Department of Law in 2006 where she has advised and represented state agencies in administrative proceedings in the areas of procurement, vocational rehabilitation, occupational health and safety, wage and hour, employment security, and retirement and benefits.
